Distinguishing Features

The species in this genus has virions, and induces the formation of cytoplasmic inclusions, that are similar to those of species in the genera Caulimovirus, “Soybean chlorotic mottle-like viruses” and “Cassava vein mosaic-like viruses” but differs from them in its genome organization.

The genome contains two ORFs organized as shown in Figure 3. There is evidence that the viral genome integrates into the host genome but it is not known if this process is functional.
