Figure 1 (Left) Diagram of a particle of Infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV); (Right) negative contrast electron micrograph of IPNV virions. The bar represents 100 nm.
Figure 2 Schematic representation of the gene arrangement of genome segment A of Drosophila X virus (DXV), Infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV) (Jasper), and Infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) (Cu-1).
Figure 3 Schematic of the genome organization of Infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV). NSt is a truncated form of NS and NSta is a proteolytic cleavage product of NSt. VP3a is a truncated form of VP3.
Figure 4 A phylogenetic tree representing the relationships between the different genera of this family was constructed with 306 conserved aa of VP2. The tree was tested by bootstrap and the numbers at the nodes represent the bootstrap values obtained by the Neighbor-Joining method. Clearly Yellowtail ascites virus (YTAV) is a member of the genus Aquabirnavirus and Infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV) and Infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) sequences cluster at one node separate from the Drosophila X virus (DXV) cluster. The protein accession numbers used in this study are: IPNV, 1762325; 454866; YTAV, 2920318; IBDV, 1469290; 854199; DXV, 1545998.
